From April 2010 Oil and Steel's UK sales and service operation was extended to the north of England and Scotland. This is part of an ongoing rollout plan to increase its sales and servicing footprint throughout the UK and Ireland. Offshore work picking up, Jacksons begin testing a series of large fabricated structures.

Jackson Group recently placed orders at the Paris International Plant Exibition for two 1400 Octopussy Classic platform machines.

This is the new generation of Octopussy, incorporating new style adjustable tracks, remotely operated travel and out-rigger stabilisation systems.  It also includes safety bar construction around the main frame and around the electric motor.

New proof load testing facility for the North East of Scotland

Jackson group have recently opened a new proof load testing facility in the North East of Scotland  to service the increased demand by offshore fabrication companies and operators.

At present, items can be tested for weights up to 50 tonnes pulling from various angles. Next year we intend to increase our capacity to test 250 tonnes.

The load pin arrangement on the bay is designed to cope with various vessels, structures and spreader beams of various dimentions.
